Jeremy London Says He’s Not Homeless After Emotional Plea for Job and Housing Help

Date:

Jeremy London is clearing up the confusion surrounding his recent emotional plea for help after his comments about potentially losing his job and home sparked concern among fans.

The 7th Heaven actor, 53, has now explained that he isn’t homeless or destitute, revealing that he owns a condo in Florida. He says his original message was written during an upsetting moment after an unexpected situation with his boss left him questioning his future in Pennsylvania.

Taking to X on Friday night, London responded to an E! News post about the situation, pushing back against what he felt was an exaggerated portrayal of his circumstances.

“I promise you this was blown out of proportion. I have a condo in Florida. I just didn’t want to leave PA because I fell in love with it,” he explained.

The actor added that he was feeling sad and shocked when he originally posted his message, apologising for the confusion caused by his wording.

“But I’m not destitute. Apologies for confusing wording in the moment,” he clarified.

Jeremy London Admits His Original Message Sounded Desperate

London also acknowledged that his initial post may have given followers the wrong impression.

When one X user suggested that his original message sounded desperate and implied he was about to become homeless, the actor didn’t shy away from accepting responsibility.

“I was sad. My wording sucked. I own that. Lesson learned,” he replied.

Rather than letting the misunderstanding continue, London made it clear that he appreciated the people who had reached out with messages of support and potential opportunities.

The Actor Says He’s Already Exploring New Opportunities

Despite the stressful situation, London appears optimistic about what comes next.

In another update, the actor thanked everyone who had contacted him and reassured followers that things were going well.

“I’m doing GREAT!” he wrote.

He also suggested that the unexpected turn of events could ultimately become a positive opportunity, potentially allowing him to spend more time with his son and return his attention to his artwork.

London revealed that he already has other potential employment opportunities lined up and is preparing to shoot a movie soon.

As for the situation involving his former workplace, he indicated that his attorneys would handle the remaining matters.

What Did Jeremy London Say in His Original Post?

The clarification follows a now-deleted message London shared on Thursday, in which he expressed concern about his employment and housing situation.

According to People, the actor claimed his boss was experiencing “some kind of mental crisis” and suggested that he could lose both his job and his home.

“Guys… my boss is going through some kind of mental crisis and I may be losing my job and home… This can’t be happening again,” London wrote in the original post, according to the publication.

He subsequently asked his followers whether anyone could help him find employment and somewhere to live.

“I love working a real job on top of acting. I’m a good person. Why does this keep happening to me?? I’m not ok,” he added.

The message quickly attracted attention, with the possibility of the actor facing homelessness becoming a major talking point.

However, London’s latest comments make an important distinction: he was worried about potentially losing his Pennsylvania living and employment arrangements, not claiming that he had no home or financial resources whatsoever.

Jeremy London Has Worked Outside Hollywood Alongside Acting

Although audiences may recognise London primarily from his television and movie appearances, acting hasn’t been his only professional pursuit.

The actor is known for playing Chandler Hampton on 7th Heaven and also appeared in the popular television drama Party of Five.

He has a film credit in the cult comedy Mallrats, too.

London has previously spoken about enjoying working a regular job alongside his entertainment career, and his recent comments suggest that he remains interested in pursuing opportunities beyond Hollywood.

For now, the actor says he has potential work lined up, a movie project approaching and his legal team handling the workplace situation.

What began as an emotional request for help has since turned into an opportunity for London to clarify his circumstances and explain what was really happening behind the scenes.
